Expand Your Website Shopping Cart Conversion

To improve shopping cart website conversions there are always a couple simple guidelines to follow. If you start your alteration search engine optimization by first following these few rules, the tweaking and toning goes much faster.

There is a great saying I used to be taught in the past "the confused brain will not buy." It's unfortunate, but you really do have to point the person exactly from what they are really sought by you to purchase. Within a shopping cart situation, if you have 12 options the customer shall never understand which one to go with.

If you want to require a sale, then set it up so that there's only one click to allow them to make those sales. If you keep on branching off and requesting them to select 3 or 4 things on that you page then chances are they'll not ever before complete the real action you want them to take.

If your goal is that they buy something but you're giving them 16 to choose from, you might not have a good funnel still. The guideline that appears to use this is to give people no more than three options in any one category. And to help make the middle option the option the one which you truly want to market the most.

So if an online site is had by you that has 12 supplements listed on it, my advice would mutually be to group them. So you have anti-aging maybe, you have supplements that build energy maybe, maybe you have supplements that help with s1eep.

And in each of those three categories have three choices then. Somehow that rule of three seems to work. In the event that you give somebody a selection of 12, they will not buy because they can't really decide which is best for them, but if they're helped by you categorize it by grouping, viewers you'll get more sales.

Another real way to do it, unless you want to group them is by using a matrix. List all the supplements and across the horizontal part of the matrix then, make check markings as to what that particular product will do and then they can pick a category. You're actually categorizing them for the person there as well. And you will find also that you will get increased sales.
